CONVENTION REGISTRATION

We are meeting at the Catamaran Resort in San Diego.

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE REGISTERING!

We are asking that you use the on-line registration system. If you need to submit a registration form for second-party payment you should be able to print the online form.

  • PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS FEBRUARY 10, 2012. AFTER THAT DATE, ROOM AVAILABILITY AT THE HOTEL CANNOT BE GUARANTEED.
  • PLEASE NOTE THAT FOR THE EARLY REGISTRATION 10% REGISTRATION FEE DISCOUNT YOU MUST BE REGISTERED BY FEBRUARY 6, 2012.

Please follow all prompts to continue through and complete the online registration form.

If you need to submit a registration form for second-party payment you should be able to print a PDF form by clicking "For a PDF/paper version of the registration form, click here to download" at the top of the first page of the above link.

MEALS: Note that you can indicate vegetarian diet and/or other dietary concerns/restrictions at the bottom of the meal sign up list on page 1 section B.

ROOM RATES: The room rates are based on single, double, triple or quad occupancy.

RRA DUES: Please Note that members cannot register for the convention unless annual RRA dues have been paid in full or are current according to an agreed-upon payment plan. If you try to register and Ayelet staff tell you they cannot register you on account of dues, please do not get angry at them, they are only working off of a list the RRA gives them. In most cases our list is accurate and up to date thanks to the diligence of our office manager, Sharon Presser.  If you have a question about your dues payment that you think you have made, contact Sharon (spresser@therra.org or  (215) 576-5210 x303). If you have not submitted a dues calculation form for this year with full or partial payment, you can download the form in the members section of the RRA website. Once we have received the form plus dues payment we can authorize Ayelet Tours to process your registration for convention.

REGISTRATION FEES: Please read carefully the choices on REGISTRATION FEES and note the options before completing that section.

CONTINUING THIS YEAR: In response to ideas that surfaced during the RRA strategic planning process, the RRA Board is again making  a number of options available to make the convention more accessible. [Note there are options for the registration fee (numbers below reflect “regular” rate, note again the 10% discount if in before Feb. 10.]

  • For members whose employment does not include covering convention costs, the “subsidized registration fee” is $225.
  • For members whose employer does cover some or all convention costs, the registration fee is $325.
  • For those members who are able to help support those colleagues without a subsidy, there is an option of a “sustaining registration fee” of $350-400. [Note that any contributions above the actual cost of $325 can be made from a discretionary fund although registration itself may not be paid through a discretionary fund.]
  • For rabbis ordained in 2011, or rabbis ordained at RRC attending their first-ever RRA convention, or new members in the RRA who did not attend RRC but are attending their first RRA convention, there is a one-time reduced registration fee of only $54.
  • For rabbis ordained in 2010 or earlier who are attending their first-ever RRA convention, there is a one-time 50% discount in registration fee. (This does not apply to RSA Student Affiliates.)
  • The RSA Student Affiliate registration fee remains at $36.
  • In addition, if you register by January 27 you can deduct 10% off of your registration fee of whatever amount.

CHILDCARE REQUEST DEADLINE: We need to know in advance if there is a need for child care before we can commit to providing services or directing members to make individual arrangements. The RRA does have a total $1,000 subsidy for child care at convention. PLEASE NOTE that we need to hear back by JANUARY 27 if you are interested in childcare. Please use the separate "Child Care Request" form document and return that by email to our convention coordinator, Amy Loewenthal, at convention@therra.org.
